X-Plane (current version, X-Plane 11.05), is a flight simulator platform founded by Austin Meyer from Laminar Research. It is available for desktops on macOS, Windows and Linux and also has a mobile version for Android, iOS and webOS.
Its first release was November 30, 2000, and it was only introduced to the MAC operating system.
X-Plane 11[]
X-Plane 11 was released as a beta to the public on November 25, 2016, and had an official full release on March 30, 2017. It is currently under continuous development with updates coming out every 2 or 3 months.
On November 1, 2017, the X-Plane team at Laminar Research sent out an email stating that X-Plane 11.10 is now in beta testing and will be the first major update for X-Plane 11.
